Interviews are no longer the only selection method. It is international best practice to use more than one evaluation method to choose the best person for a position. Other methods include ability testing; personality questionnaires, group exercises, work scenarios & case studies. How many and what type of assessment depends on the position, but each part is assessed independently of the other.

Cultural Orientation


Any organization functioning in the region will have come across the challenge of understanding the local culture in which they are operating. Operating in the Arabian Gulf has its own challenges and difficulties, and there is a lack of opportunities to better understand the background to these challenges.

Al Bab Al Sharqi has developed a unique programme which helps organizations and individuals better understand the historical, cultural, linguistic, and religious background to this area, with a particular insight into how this affects contemporary life, both in the personal sphere, and the professional one.The programmes can be tailored to the particular needs of the client, but a minimum 4 hour session is suggested which allows the attendants to better comprehend what they see around them, and what to do, or more importantly, what not to do.
